Matthew Rieger, Esq. President and CEO Matthew Rieger (HTG) is an award-winning full-service developer of multifamily residential neighborhoods


His companies real estate transactions exceed $2 billion across Florida, Arizona, and the Southeastern U.S.


HTG is the most prominent developer of affordable housing throughout Florida.


Matthew worked as an attorney before joining Housing Trust Group. There, he was involved with transactions totaling over $1B, including development, acquisitions, and joint ventures both in the United States and internationally.

Since 2011, he is President and CEO of HTG. His focus has been on increasing HTG's development capacity, raising awareness about affordable and workforce housing, and working with industry leaders, legislators, and public officials to develop policy that benefits working-class families.

He was elected to the Coalition of Affordable Housing Providers' Board of Directors in 2017, an alliance of non-profit and profit developers, and professional service providers that aims to provide affordable housing for Floridians.

Matthew, a Miami native, and third-generation Floridian holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from The University of Florida.

He is an active Florida Bar Association member and American Bar Association member and is involved in a variety of charities, including Habitat for Humanity (Wade's World Foundation) and Habitat for Humanity (Florida Bar Association).
